Twitter in the age of persuasion

Earlier this year, advertising guru Terry O’Reilly shared a social media anecdote with ITBusiness.ca.

While on a promotional tour for his book, The Age of Persuasion, O’Reilly had a short time to fill between media interviews. Rather than put his feet up and relax, the radio host jumped into action. He called up a local bookstore and arranged a spontaneous book signing. To advertise the event, all he had to do was send out a message on Twitter – the response was immediate and enthusiastic.
