Video: SMB Owners consider brand important, but unsure how to create it

A strong brand isn’t restricted to the domain of behemoth mega-chains, small business owners can create a strong brand too.

An Ipsos-Reid survey comissioned by Hewlett-Packard Canada shows SMB owners are fairly savvy when it comes to knowing the importance of brand in regards to marketing, but need a helping hand when it comes to executing a branding campaign.

ITBusiness.ca spoke with experts about the importance of brand for companies of all shapes and sizes:

  • Jean-Paul Desmarais, HP’s Business Customer Marketing Manager and Michael Costa, Category Business Manager.

  • Cheryl Sylvester, Beyond Brand Thinking, a brand consultancy. Co-founded Stanton and Sylvester Ltd. a small business that was a strategic brand communications agency that achieved multi-year listing in Profit’s list of top 100 Women owned businesses.
