Oracle announces release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Oracle announced the release of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne version 8.12, which offers modules and features to address the needs of existing EnterpriseOne customers as well as functionality specifically targeted for the food and beverage market.

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Operational Sourcing, for example, assists in the process of obtaining and awarding bids after a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Information (RFI) is issued. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Human Capital Management now includes employee scheduling, enhanced time and labor and self-service capabilities. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Supply Chain Management now features transportation shipment sequencing, which enables OEM suppliers to deliver to manufacturing production lines in the sequence in which the parts are required.

The new version includes support for the current and next releases of platforms such as IBM WebSphere 6.0, IBM Portal 5.1, Sun Solaris Unix 10, Redhat Linux 3.0 and i5/OS V5R4.

Wildform releases WildPresenter 2.1
Wildform, Inc. announced a release of its WildPresenter Flash presentation software.

The release features improved text handling for PowerPoint file import, improved Flash SWF screen recording, text capabilities including line spacing, paragraph spacing, bullets, indentation, margins and tabs and a new player and preloader options.

Wild Presenter is available for Windows and allows users to create Flash presentations, product demos, training videos and sales and marketing materials. It is being offered at an introductory price of US$299.

Storage

Seagate releases 750GB hard drive
Seagate Technology introduced a desktop hard drive capable of storing up to 750GB of data. The drive is part of the Barracuda 7200.10 product group and uses perpendicular recording technology.

The technology stands data bits vertically onto the disc media, rather than horizontal to the surface, allowing for higher hard drive data density, capacity and reliability. The Barracuda 7200.10 series of drives provides 200GB to 750GB of capacity and features cache sizes from 8MB to 16MB and 1.5Gb/s and 3.0Gbps Serial ATA (SATA) data transfer rates with Native Command Queuing.

The hard drives will include a five year warranty.

Tvidia releases software developers kit for Verify
Tvidia Corp announced an update to Verify-SDK, a software developers kit that offers Tvidia partners, customers and Web site designers a development platform to fully prototype customizable WEB/WAP interfaces for online age verification prior to deployment.

TV-SDK v1.9 is targeted at cellular phone network operators, mobile virtual network operators and content aggregators looking to deliver online content to subscribers. With the kit, developers are able to build custom graphical user interfaces for mobile phones and other handheld consumer devices.

TV-SDK v1.9 is available now.
