Gillian Lowe recently joined the Toronto-based firm in chief creative officer. Lowe will lead an expansion of Maverick’s Consumer Practice Group and has so far brought on two new clients: Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) and the Firkin Group of Pubs.
Lowe recently returned to Canada after running her own boutique firm in Los Angeles, Kaboom PR, where she counted Fannie Mae Foundation, House of Blues and Vivendi Universal Games among her clients.

Susan Stuart has joined the firm as a communications officer. Stuart was formerly an internal communications executive with Sun Microsystems of Canada.

Becky Bolt joined the firm as an internal communications executive. Recently married Bolt (formerly Becky Porter) had been working at Maverick Public Relations.
Sun Microsystems of Canada
Shirley Horvat has joined the firm as an internal communications person. Horvat, who previously worked with IBM, joined Sun after taking some off to complete her MBA. Public Relations and Communication
Environics Communications
Kate Vrankart joined the firm recently as a consultant, helping manage the Xerox of Canada account, among others. Vrankart comes from Alchemy Public Relations, the Benchmark Porter-Novelli spinoff that handles Oracle Canada.

Andrea Ellison joined the firm, having left Environics Communications. She is assisting with the corporate side of the Microsoft Canada account.
