Websense deploys Web security and content filtering to SMBs
Websense Inc. launched a solution, Websense Express, priced and optimized for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), as well as resources tailored for customers and the channel partners who advise them. 

Websense launched:

  • Websense Express software – to protect organizations from emerging Web-based threats.  Websense Express can begin protecting organizations in as little as 30 minutes and includes more than 20 pre-defined management reports.
  • Channel Partner Service Offerings – Included is a “Risk Analysis Service,” where channel partners can gain recurring revenue by providing ongoing analysis of Internet activity, identifying risks and providing solutions in business process.  Also available is a “Security Planning and Policy Creation” service that helps channel partners to deploy and to optimize Websense Express along with a customer’s existing IT infrastructure.
  • On-Demand Customer support portal – through an enhanced self-service support portal, available to Websense Express customers through the management dashboard. 

Customers and channel partners also have access to a SMB Solutions Center, available at www.websense.com/smb, which provides educational resources and access to a free 15-day Websense Express evaluation.

Websense Express is available today in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.  In the United States, Websense has recommended pricing at US$20.50 per user/per year for 1-250 users and US$15.50 per user/per year for 251-1,000 users.  Discounts are available for multi-year subscriptions.  Pricing may vary by country.

NCP introduces Secure Entry Client with comprehensive security

With version 9.01 of the Secure Entry Client NCP engineering GmbH provides an IPSec VPN client for Windows Vista 64-bit.

The NCP Secure Client is a universal communication software for use in any remote access VPN environment. The Client has extensive security functions: IPSec encryption with AES or 3-DES, authentication via digital certificates and hardware tokens, a dynamic Personal Firewall with Stateful Inspection and Friendly Net Detection for automatic detection of secure and non-secure networks.

The software communicates with VPN gateways from vendors. Data is transferred independent of media type via stationary networks, public wireless networks, LANs, wireless networks.

For remote access environments with hundreds or thousands of users NCP offers the Secure Enterprise Client under Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit.

The software is available now and is exclusively available via NCP sales partners. NCP customers with older licences can update to the version. A 30-day full version of the Secure Entry Client software is available for testing and can be downloaded at http://www.ncp.de/english/download/testsoftware/index_entry.html
