MS Team releases AvailSuite 2.0
AvailSuite 2.0 is designed to automate the everyday tasks of SMBs. These include customer management, order entry, job scheduling and routing, time tracking, billing, managing inventory, purchases and receivables.

AvailSuite offers a basic CRM and ERP system. New additions in this release include vendor and purchase order management, the ability to track service contracts, project budget control capability and dispatch routes management.

AvailSuite runs on Windows XP/2000/2003 and Vista. The 30-day trial version is available from the company’s site. AvailSuite is priced at US$295 per licence, which includes one year of free upgrades. Volume discounts are available.

Oxygen releases update to Oxygen Phone Manager II
Oxygen Software announced the release of Oxygen Phone Manager II version 2.9, the company’s communication software tool for Nokia mobile phones, offering support for more than 20 new mobile phone models.

With the software, users can manage the content and settings of mobile phones from a personal computer. Users can organize their phonebook, events, tasks and notes, gallery, profiles, FM radio, GPRS and WAP options, call lists and voice records.

Oxygen Phone Manager II runs on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 Server and costs 35 euros for an individual licence. A basic version of the application called Oxygen Phone Manager II Lite is available for 14.95 euros, which offers entertainment phone features management. The evaluation copy can be downloaded from the company’s site.

Digi launches embedded core module with integrated wired and wireless networking
Digi International announced the introduction of the ConnectCore Wi-9C, an embedded core module with integrated wired 10/100 Mbit Ethernet and secure 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN networking capabilities.

The ConnectCore Wi-9C is interchangeable and pin-compatible with the ConnectCore 9C, an embedded core module for wired networking. The ConnectCore Wi-9C is fully RoHS compliant and provides up to 256 MB of SDRAM and Flash memory along with integrated wired and wireless networking in a SO-DIMM form factor.

The ConnectCore Wi-9C with 802.11b/g support will be available later in 2006 starting at US$149 in 1,000 quantities.

McAfee introduces McAfee Total Protection security suite
McAfee Inc. introduced McAfee Total Protection, which combines and manages system security through a single console and agent platform. The enterprise edition contains anti-virus for all tiers of the network, anti-spyware, anti-spam, desktop firewall, host intrusion prevention and a network access control system.

McAfee Total Protection is available April 17, 2006 for enterprise customers and April 25 for small business users through McAfee and its partners.
