The company said it has been selected by Avokia Inc., a Toronto-based software company with products that help organizations optimize their application infrastructure, as its PR agency of record.

Avokia’s technology helps organizations eliminate downtime

and optimize application performance.  During planned and unplanned database downtime, Avokia middleware allows transactions to flow through seamlessly so applications always have a database available.

Ketchum will work with Avokia to increase awareness of its unique software offering among business and technology decision-makers.


The Communications Group 

The company said it has been chosen as public relations agency of record for Signifi Solutions Inc., a Mississauga, Ont.-based company formed to meet the growing demand for retail digital photo finishing.

Signifi builds end-to-end self-serve networks that connect consumers to retail photo finishing services and fulfillment systems through its QuickPIX kiosk solution. The company’s brand of plug-and-profit integrated Web and kiosk solutions are designed to allow retailers to quickly deliver high-demand digital photo services, from prints to personalized picture gifts, online and in-store. Signifi also helps retailers successfully launch and grow their photo finishing business by providing installation and coast-to-coast technical and field support, as well as marketing and merchandising tools and programs.


Group 4 Technology

The company, which develops advanced-technology security management systems around the world, recently hired Kim Rahfaldt as public relations manager.

Rahfaldt reports to vice-president of marketing, Kim Loy.  Group 4 Technology recently moved its marketing efforts in-house, and is filling global marketing positions.  The marketing team will oversee all marketing functions for Group 4 Technology globally, including AMAG Technology in North America.


Cohn & Wolfe 

Kim Roman, a counselor in the consumer marketing practice, has left the firm to pursue an opportunity as communications manager for the Ontario Region at McDonlad’s Restaurants of Canada. No replacement was announced.
