TechCrunch features Toronto tech startup scene

In the tech startup world, the “TechCrunch bump” is a familiar phenomenon where being featured on the technology news blog results in a rush of Web traffic and interest to your new business.

So it was no surprise when the blog’s Toronto meetup event attracted nearly 1,000 people to Steamwhistle Brewery. Staff from the well-read blog hob-nobbed with Toronto-area entrepreneurs, investors, and on-lookers. If you weren’t in the area or weren’t able to make it out to the event, TechCrunch has posted a playlist of all the videos made there.

TechCrunch interviews the MaRS team.

Interviews include the MaRS staff, and several startups including Venio, Picatic, ShiftHub, EProf, and My Shoe Box. Click through on the link to watch them.
