About the Technicity Series
Technicity Canada is IT World Canada’s annual event dedicated to smart cities. It provides an opportunity for dynamic and open conversations between decision-makers and technology leaders from large and small municipalities across Canada, as well as the digital entrepreneurs and businesses who are helping shape the future of digital government.
In addition to the main conference on May 9th, we offer a series of Technicity mini-conferences to keep the conversation alive between our annual events. Each Satellite event features the same informative and engaging presentations, panels and interactive discussions in a compact 90-minute framework. The Technicity: March satellite event is focused on keeping smart cities safe and resilient.

Downtown Mississauga is a healthy mix of employment and residential land uses, and is an ideal location for the tech industry and its employees. The city’s downtown offers an abundance of amenities and an active nightlife, direct routes to Pearson International Airport and transit connections to anywhere across the region.
The 20-acre Lakeview Innovation District will include 1.5 million square feet of flexible office and co-working spaces, and state-of-the-art labs and research facilities across 12 to 14 buildings. At full buildout, it will employ 9,000 people in knowledge-intensive jobs.
