Dropsuite Announces Release of CDN Top 100 Solution Providers Report 2019

This year’s industry benchmark report, sponsored by Dropsuite, details the top 100 Canadian solution providers ranked by Channel Daily News

April 29, 2019 – San Jose, CA – Dropsuite Limited (ASX:DSE),  a leading cloud platform provider that offers backup, archiving and recovery solutions delivered at scale to power business defense, announced the release of the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers Report 2019. Dropsuite sponsored the benchmark report in partnership with IDG and supported by the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council. Channel Daily News (CDN) produced the report.

This year, Softchoice edged out CDW Canada to become the top ranked solution provider in Canada. These same two solution providers each experienced their first $1 billion revenue years in 2018.

Each year, CDN — the voice of Canada’s IT channel community – connects with IT solution providers across the country to collect data from the year prior to compile an industry benchmark report. The information is used to create a snapshot of channel trends, hiring inclinations and product preferences. The data is also used to determine its annual Top 100 solution providers ranking as measured by revenue. Appearance on the list is considered a coup and an honor. Over the past 15 years, many solution providers have used the recognition as part of their marketing and promotional efforts.

Channel Trend Highlights:

  • Total revenue for the 2018 Top 100 Canadian Solution Providers was $9.7 billion, up 5.5% from $9.2 billion in 2017.
  • 2018 saw CDW and Softchoice switch places, with Softchoice taking top spot to displace CDW.
  • Notable mergers and acquisitions; CompuCom purchased Grand & Toy; CareWorx purchased Fully Managed, Broadview Networks was purchased by Windstream and CDW purchased Scalar Decisions.
  • The top cloud infrastructure platforms sold through the channel were Microsoft Azure (71%) followed by AWS (37%) and Google (19%).

Dropsuite sponsored the CDN Top 100 Solution Providers Report 2019 because it believes in the solution provider channel — helping them to easily backup, recover and protect their client’s digital assets and safeguarding them against unforeseen data loss events such as ransomware, employee theft, email phishing attacks or accidental deletion. Dropsuite’s products and solutions include Email Archiving for Compliance, Cloud Backup for Office 365 — which effortlessly backs up Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups and Teams — as well as GDPR Responder and Insights BI.

Dropsuite understands that by preference or regulation, many Canadian companies seek to keep their data within Canada. As Dropsuite uses Amazon AWS data centres located In Canada, it offers complete compliance with all PIPEDA, IIROC and data sovereignty requirements for government-related businesses.
