Summit to explore the integration of AI and Blockchain

TORONTO, Ontario – A global conference looking at the possibilities that emerge when AI and blockchain come together for a common goal will land in Toronto on May 22.

A global initiative of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world’s leading society for educational and scientific computing, the inaugural AiDecentralized summit will feature talks and panels highlighting some of the world’s foremost experts on the two technologies that are already reshaping society.

“AiDecentralized seeks to be a catalyst for new innovative technologies born out of the intersection of Blockchain and AI,” says award-winning futurist and serial entrepreneur Stephen Ibaraki.

At a reception following the event, participants will be able to mingle and share their thoughts with some of the top IT thought leaders in the world.

As an organization, AiDecentralized brings together 870,000 AI practitioners with 280,000 blockchainers and cryptographers from around the world. These communities will come together to explore the possibilities at the intersection of these two technologies.

The AiDecentralized Summit in Toronto which is the first in a series of  global summits, will feature:

MIT Professor and ACM Turing Award recipient Silvio Micali is known for his work in technologies that form the bedrock of blockchains today: public-key cryptosystems, digital signatures, pseudo-randomness, and multiparty computations. Silvio is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Engineering.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Irakli Beridze of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at the United Nations (UNICRI), has almost 20 years of experience leading highly political and complex multilateral negotiations, developing stakeholder engagement programs and channels of communication with governments, UN agencies, international organizations, think-tanks, civil society, foundations, academia, and private industry.

IBM Master Inventor and IBM Watson Group World Wide Business Development Leader Neil Sahota ideates next-generation products and solutions powered by Watson. Prior to this, Neil was a Thought Leader Consultant and Practice Leader in IBM Global Business Services.

Blockchain Canada Chair Alan Wunsche is a leading blockchain/fintech expert with deep governance, strategic planning, process reengineering, big data analytics, risk management, and information management transformation consulting experience.

ColliderX and Canadian Blockchain Co-founder Marc Lijour helps people and organizations realize their potential, leveraging technology and freedom to innovate. He has more than 10 years of experience as an emerging technology expert helping large institutions develop and implement new solutions, policies, and programs.
