Simon Fraser University’s VentureLabs partners with Toronto Metropolitan University’s Diversity Institute and Magnet, along with SalesChoice to create the DAT App

June 23rd, 2022 | Canada – Simon Fraser University’s VentureLabs is partnering with the Toronto Metropolitan University’s Diversity Institute and Magnet, along with the predictive and prescriptive AI analytics firm SalesChoice Inc., to create a digital version of the Diversity Assessment Tool (DAT) developed by Dr. Wendy Cukier, Founder of the Diversity Institute.

For Canada to improve our global GDP and innovation rankings, it is a business imperative to advance diversity and inclusion leadership strategy and capabilities across all industry sectors and organizations, irrespective of size. By applying advanced analytics and AI methods, we will be able to bring insights not only to the customers using the app but also to the world-class researchers partnering to advance our nation’s economic health and sustainability, says Dr. Cindy Gordon, CEO, Founder, SalesChoice Inc.

With an aim to enable companies to build D&I best practices at an early-stage and create a foundation that helps ensure a more inclusive corporate culture as they scale and hire, the DAT app will transform the organizational D&I assessment from an expensive, resource-intensive activity, to an online, self-guided process that will be more accessible.
