FuseForward Addresses Cloud Security Skills Shortage at AWS Summit Toronto

TORONTO – September 24, 2019 — FuseForward, a Canadian-based provider of secure cloud environments, is excited to be exhibiting at this year’s AWS Summit Toronto on October 3, 2019. For FuseForward the event is a great opportunity to demonstrate the role their cloud security product, FuseSecure, can play in addressing the cybersecurity skills shortage.

FuseForward’s Founder and CEO Mark Damm is excited about the opportunity to discuss the benefits of FuseSecure with current and potential Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers.

“From our past experience, attendees at the AWS Summit Toronto are extremely knowledgeable about the benefits of AWS and the cloud. But despite their enthusiasm, they often cite a shortage of skilled security talent as a key barrier to adoption,” says Mark.

“We’re excited to be able to showcase our product, FuseSecure, as a key solution to this challenge. Not only does FuseSecure bring all of the technology needed to address your cloud security needs together into one product, we also continue to maintain and operate it for you—reducing the need to source and hire specialist security staff.”

The shortage of skilled security talent is a growing concern among Canadian businesses. A 2019 report by Deloitte Canada and the Toronto Financial Services Alliance noted a shortage of cybersecurity talent as a top challenge for Canadian executives. This talent shortage has had serious ramifications, with over 20% of Canadian business reporting that they have been affected by a cybersecurity incident.

FuseSecure is a fully-managed security service that provides enhanced security for applications and data on AWS. FuseSecure brings together more than a dozen security products, and FuseForward’s own technology, to address a customer’s shared responsibility for cloud security. Instead of sourcing, configuring and operating technology from multiple vendors, FuseSecure delivers everything required in one service, for an annual subscription fee.

Other benefits of FuseSecure include:

  • Simplified vendor management.
  • Built-in access control
  • Continuous monitoring

FuseForward staff will be available to discuss the benefits of FuseSecure at booth #533 at the AWS Summit Toronto. Attendance at AWS Summit Toronto is free and participants can register at: https://aws.amazon.com/events/summits/toronto/
