Insight Canada Moves Up to #3 on CDN Top 100 Solution Providers List

TEMPE, Ariz., May 7, 2020 –Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, has seen its Canadian operations move up four spots to No. 3 on the Channel Daily News (CDN) Top 100 Solution Providers list, announced virtually by CDN on April 30.

CDN’s annual rankings are based on 2019 revenue submitted by Canada’s leading channel players and are verified by IT business intelligence and analysis leader IDC Canada. Insight Canada, on the strength of Insight’s acquisition in August 2019 of PCM, Inc., saw revenues rise last year to more than $700 million.

Insight Canada now maintains a nationwide presence, augmenting Insight’s multi-vendor technology solutions for small, mid-sized, and corporate/enterprise commercial clients; state, local and federal governments; and educational institutions across Canada.

“Our expanded team is providing more opportunities for businesses to tap into managed services that maximize often-limited IT resources and innovate with emerging and cloud-based technologies. That’s crucial in today’s volatile environment, as most organizations cope with sudden changes to how they maintain productivity and deliver value to their customers,” said John Dathan, senior vice president, and general manager, Insight Canada. “We’re well-positioned through our broad portfolio of modern solutions and a deep bench of technical talent to help them transition to more practical ways of doing business.”

Over the last year, Insight Canada helped several clients transform through streamlined procurement practices, product lifecycle services, IT modernization, cloud solutions, and best practices for organizational change management. This includes:

  • An energy infrastructure company needing to enhance collaboration systems to meet the needs of a distributed workforce. Insight deployed Microsoft Teams™ across the organization, providing not only a platform for virtual meetings but telephony cost savings of 26%. HP® Slice and Poly® conferencing hardware also helped modernize conference room audio and video capabilities.
  • A security incident at an automotive dealer forced the IT team to transform its security posture with a reliable solution and guidance from an expert partner. Insight replaced an aging security network with Cisco Meraki™, Cisco Umbrella© and Cisco AMP for Endpoints for more than 20 different physical locations, leading to more robust connections, greater user capacity, more network coverage, and complete visibility into internet activity across all locations, devices and users via one centralized dashboard.
  • A nonprofit healthcare organization operating multiple long-term senior care and assisted living facilities needed to unify and accelerate data capabilities to meet the reporting requirements of its province. Insight deployed Microsoft Power BI® and worked with the client’s third-party Software as a Service provider hosting its applications to create a single, intuitive data experience that eliminated the need for duplicate data entry. Users also gained access to new patient insights, including predictive analytics that allowed them to better anticipate care needs.

“The impact of the COVID-19 shutdown has hit the channel hard, but with the cumulative 2019 revenue from the 100 highest-ranking players topping $10 billion for the first time, it shows there was strength in the sector going into the storm,” said Fawn Annan, ITWC president, and ranking champion.
