As such, I found that it was imperative to bring to the table a group of professionals who will help take hEr VOLUTION to the next level.

We are very excited to bring on board these professionals that were carefully selected to join our Advisory Council to Executives. hEr VOLUTION Advisory Council

The Advisory Council to Executives:

Chandran Fernando: Managing Partner at Matrix360

hEr VOLUTION’s mission is unique and embodies the true essence of equity and belonging- to create access to opportunities through education, connectivity and inspiration for young females and women to succeed in the Canadian STEM arena. I am a strong advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities and I am magnetized by the mission of Her VOLUTION moreover; as Doina and her team continue to showcase why females matter in STEM. It is an honour and privilege to partner with hEr VOLUTION.

Yvonne Toma: ACPC, ACC, Certified ScrumMaster

I had the privilege to work with Doina, the founder of hEr VOLUTION, as her coach prior to my involvement in the organization. Her vision, passion and commitment for helping young women enter STEM fields has made me want to get more involved, supporting Doina and the leadership team to deliver this important mission. I am excited for what’s to come and honoured to play a small part.

Natasha Smith: Associate, Social Impact Group at Miller Thomson LLP

Natasha joins the Advisory Council in hopes of lending her legal expertise to hEr VOLUTION, to assist it in successfully influencing girls’ perception of their role in STEM.

Zemfira Khisaeva: Vice President, Enterprise Strategy, Scotiabank

I have had the privilege to obtain my Mechanical Engineering degree from Russia and this opened many doors to me in numerous STEM based industries in Canada and US. I fully appreciate the importance of STEM education and understand the efforts that hEr VOLUTION is trying to make by delivering such crucial programs for young, underserved women. I am excited to be part of advancing hEr VOLUTION’s mission to advance STEM education to diverse young women through my Advisory role.

Jessica Sheth-Gupta: Partner Lead at Google

Jessica has worked in Brand Marketing for over 10 years – starting her career at Unilever and then Kraft Foods. In her current role as an Account Executive at Google, she helps Auto brands better understand the digital revolution and what this means for brands as they try to engage and connect with their consumers.

Jessica joins the hEr VOLUTION Advisory Council with a strong passion for the development of young women in the field of STEM.

Peter Bandas: Innovation Advisor at NRC – IRAP

I have a number of reasons helping hEr VOLUTION. I have an interest in teaching of computational thinking to children. In my current job at NRC I am exposed to the challenges our current and future innovation ecosystem is facing with shortage of talented STEM workers. Since my daughter was born I learned about perceived challenges girls face learning math and technology. I am interested in helping change all that for our next generation of girls in STEM.

We look forward to working with our Advisory Council new members in efforts to advance diversity and inclusion for all women in STEM while developing career options for young women and girls in the Toronto and GTA area who are facing multiple barriers.
