GetResponse Inc. has branched out from its email marketing service, offering a new product that will allow marketers to build their own landing pages, no coding knowledge required.

Based in Poland, the company announced today it’s launching Landing Page Creator 2.0, which gives marketers more than 100 pre-designed landing page templates to pick from as they build their own pages.

The tool’s editor allows them to drag and drop videos and images onto the pages directly, also providing access to more than 1,000 free photos available from iStock.

Still, the tool’s biggest boon is that it doesn’t require any help from the IT department, giving non-technical marketers the ability to do their jobs more quickly and easily. Normally, getting a landing page set up can take as long as two weeks, but GetResponse has cut that down to a couple of hours, said Mike Smith, vice-president of marketing.

“We had a demand for this. We have a huge niche of bloggers that love our service, and they were knocking on the door, saying hey, we would love to have a landing page product. So we stepped out and built one,” he said, adding landing pages perform better for creating sales conversions, instead of just directing site visitors to a home page.

“As a marketer myself, there’s a lot of value and empowerment in being able to execute quickly myself. It’s very valuable to have something out there, that I as a marketer, don’t have to work with a designer to design a page, or send a request to IT and get the page launched.”

Smith added he feels a lot of email service providers leave a gap between sending emails and getting people to subscribe to them. While GetResponse competitors like MailChimp and Constant Contact provide email services, this landing page solution takes things farther, he said.

“We could have continued to evolve our email business, which is the core part of our business. But we want to be a solution from click to subscription, the path from the moment someone visits whatever page it is where you get their subscription, to the moment you automate a series of emails … It’s a bit of a next step for us to move towards simple marketing automation for everyone.”

GetResponse’s basic plan is set at $15 a month, giving marketers access to its email service, as well as one landing page that supports up to 10,000 visitors. The company also provides free 24/7 customer support via chat and email, as well as phone support during business hours in both the U.S. and Europe.
