Good Afternoon Golfers,

On behalf of the Computer Golf Committee, and the staff at Easter Seals, we hope you and your families are well and safe during this strange time.

I am reaching out to let you know that we have decided to cancel this year’s Canadian Computer Charity Golf Tournament for 2020. It was a difficult decision to make, however the safety of our golfers, sponsors, staff and kids are of the utmost importance.

Despite the current challenges, Easter Seals remains committed to providing critical and essential services to kids with physical disabilities and their families. However, 100% of our operating revenue is comprised of charitable donations, with the majority of those funds being raised through in-person events that have now been suspended. Without these vital sources of revenue, we are deeply concerned about our ability to fulfill our mission.

Easter Seals currently has over $1.2 million in essential equipment costs that we are unable to fulfill. I recognize that these are difficult times for everyone. However, the children we serve are part of the vulnerable sector and continue to need our support in order to live safely in their homes, especially during this crisis.

If you are still able to lend your support, I urge you to please consider making a donation online through our website at EasterSeals.org. Many of the families we serve are struggling to care for their child without the personal care and community support they normally rely on. Your donation, no matter the size, will help improve the quality of life of a child with a physical disability.

I want to thank each and every one of you for the incredible support you have shown for this event, and for Easter Seals kids. We have a few virtual plans in the works for this year, which you would love to participate in. They will be coming out shortly - please keep an eye out for emails from myself and the committee members.

We have secured a 2021 date of September 9 at the Country Club for the Computer Charity Golf Tournament. This just mean’s we have more time to make next year’s tournament the best one yet.

Thank you for your continued support for the event and Easter Seals Ontario.

Best,
