Unboxing of iPad fourth generation

The iPad mini may be delayed to certain areas because of stormy weather, but the iPad fourth generation is available in retail stores today.

Apple Inc. announced the refreshed tablet alongside its new junior-sized companion at its October event. Some were surprised that Apple would release another iPad so soon after launching the new iPad (third generation) just in March. But the new device is touted to be twice as fast as the March iPad, with a dual-core A6X processor that also have quad-core graphics. The device also has Apple’s new lightening connector as opposed to the old, larger connector.

We’ve picked up the new iPad and will be evaluating it at a productivity tool. We hope to put all that new processing power to the test with some multimedia intensive tasks and see if this is a tablet you can use to get work done on the go, of if it’s best for consuming content on the couch. Until we get a full hands-on video ready, here’s an unboxing to whet your appetite.

Our first look at the just-released iPad fourth generation.
