Business One Cloud is now available on SAP’s own data centres

NEW YORK, NY – SAP today announced that its Business One Cloud solution can now run on SAP data centres.

To go along with what is now the third deployment option (private hosted cloud, third-party cloud infrastructure, and now SAP’s own data centres), the company is also offering services including backup and restore, disaster recovery and platform maintenance.

The announcement was made as part of the company’s SME (small and medium enterprise) Summit in New York City.

“With 50,000 customers around the globe, Business One is one of the most widely adopted SAP products ever,” said Hernan Marino, senior vice president and global head of GPO marketing and communications.

The SAP HANA-based ERP solution is designed to automate business functions in financials, operations, and human resources. To help SMEs make use of this, the company is also offering deployment services.

The German software vendor will be making the new offering available first in North America, followed by Europe and Asia next year.

The announcement follows its release of the SAP Anywhere service in China, an SMB-focused e-commerce front-office product that features inventory, marketplace management and customer engagement capabilities.

“We felt compelled to offer partners the option to run the SAP Business One application in the cloud,” Luis Murguia, senior vice president and general manager, SAP Business One said in a statement. “This provides an end-to-end SAP-branded experience that leverages the capabilities of SAP HANA.”
