Rogers extends One Number service to iPad, home phone

Rogers Communications has broadened its Rogers One Number platform so users can extend their Rogers wireless number to their home phones and iPads.

What’s new is that the One Number app can be used for video chattingand receiving calls on an iPad. (An app will be made available forAndroid tablets soon, Rogers said.)

With an adapter, customers can alsouse their wireless number to make calls using the Internet on theirhome phone. Although that costs a monthly fee, it means customers canhave unlimited free long distance within Canada and unlimited daytimewireless minutes using their home phone.
