Improving customer experience in automotive, public sector and financial services sectors

Companies in the automotive, public sector and financial services industries will have help delivering differentiated products and driving new revenue through mobile, web and social channels thanks to a new partnership between Hewlett-Packard Co. and Microsoft Corp.

The vendors have teamed to launch HP Business Process as-a-Service (BPaaS) solutions for Microsoft Dynamics. The industry-tailored solutions are designed to help companies more easily deliver digital, mobile and social interactions to their customers or, in the same of the public sector, their citizens.

“The combination of industry leading Microsoft Dynamics solutions and HP experience and expertise will result in specific industry focused IP that  represent great value and opportunity to organizations looking to accelerate the delivery of products and services to market,” said Hayden Stafford, vice-president of enterprise sales with Microsoft Business Solutions, in a statement. “For example, in the automotive sector, we will provide both local and global OEMs with a rapid approach to the transition in delivering a digital first customer experience.”

HP and Microsoft are developing a portfolio of what they call business process accelerators, designed to address the most challenging business processes in different industries.

The BPaaS solutions available at launch include Case Management for processes such as license, permit, and grants management; Social Benefits Administration to deliver an array of social services to citizens; Citizen Services to help portals and call centres provide citizens multi-channel access to government agencies; Banking Transformation to modernize business processes around a bank’s branch network and lending systems and mobilize their sales force; Loan Process Transformation to modernize and automate business processes associated with legacy loan origination systems; and Automotive Aftersales Customer Experience Management to facilitate the proactive sale of aftersales service.

The goal of all the solutions, said HP and Microsoft, is to help organizations meet customer and citizen expectations for easy, personal and fast interactions by helping them modernize their legacy applications and get to market more quickly.

“No trend has impacted business and government as much or as quickly as the drive to digital,” said Anthone Withers, director and general manager for Microsoft business applications with Enterprise Services, in a statement.  “Our BPaaS solutions allow clients to rapidly move to the digital world by modernizing existing applications and simplifying the process to deliver a better client experience.”

The solutions are designed to run on the HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud platform, and leverage the Microsoft Dynamics platform to offer consumption-based pricing models or fixed cost per product/service. All are available now.
