Trending on Facebook, is Apple planning to kill the MacBook Air? This rumour is based on a supply chain report for LCD panels that Apple will supposedly be using on a new entry-level, 13-inch MacBook released in the second half of the year. The MacBook Air was introduced in 2008 and it set a new standard for expectations around laptop design and thickness. But ever since then, the MacBook Pro has been trimming down its size. It’s now harder to tell the difference between the two. So it could make sense for Apple to drop the ‘Air’ brand altogether and just focus on the fact that all of its laptops are just about as thin as silicon wafers allow.
