CATAAlliance TV is in On (the) Air

Canadian technology trade association CATAAlliance is adding video broadcasting to its digital tool kit as part of its mandate for strengthening community advocacy and sharing of best practices.

Available through Google Hangout and the group’s Google+ page, CATAAlliance said it will be conducting thought-leadership interviews On Air, including hosting panel discussions with up to nine different experts. Thought leaders will share insights on topics affecting enterprise growth and innovation success, and the videos will also be archived to the CATAnet TV You Tube Channel.

“We have expanded both traditional and digital resources to strengthen op in peer networks and information sharing for SR&ED Tax & Finance, Innovation Leadership, Shared Services Canada, Women in Tech, Public Safety and Security, Export Markets, among other key areas which impact Canada’s competitive and innovation rankings,” said CATA CEO John Reid in a statement. “Adding a real time interactive TV Channel is a logical step in the evolution of our new media communications.”

CanWIT executive director Emily Boucher will be the first guest, speaking about mentorship.

The first episode will air Nov. 28th at 11:00 am EST and will be focused on mentorship, with Reid interviewing CanWIT executive director Emily Boucher on the importance of mentorship to career development and enterprise growth in Canada.
