How Hointer brings e-commerce into physical stores

Last week, we had a chance to tour the Retail Collective, a set of startups and technologies for retailers looking to lure consumers back to physical stores, instead of losing sales to e-commerce and online shopping. The Retail Collective was housed at Dx3, a marketing conference in Toronto.

Candice So of ITBusiness.ca spoke to Nadia Shouraboura, founder of Hointer Inc. Her startup has built a mobile app to help consumers scan QR codes on sales tags, allowing them to order clothing for the fitting room while they’re in store. They can order more sizes and pay for their purchases by using the app, freeing up store employees to provide better recommendations to upsell their store’s products.
