Elevator Pitch: LightningPlatform – create, target, and report with ease

One of the startups in the fourth cohort at Toronto-based accelerator Incubes, LightningPlatform is a cloud-based framework that aids development and provides complete visibility on actions performed by users.

Think of it like WordPress for apps. It includes object storage, metrics, reporting, and user profile management. It allows developers to focus on a great user interface and managers to get the data they need. The app allows companies to contextually target users based on their profiles and the content they are browsing.

Co-founded by Nathon Gunn, Francis Pelland, and Matt McPherson, Lightning has already attracted more than $1 million in funding from investors including Michael Cohl,Moses Znaimer, Gary Slaight, Ron Demob, Clive Smith, Howards Gorman, Kevin Shea, and Star Media. It’s targeting small client-side development shops and entrepreneurs with its software. It is looking to raise a total of $2 million.

Lightning’s current customers include CBC Television, Lionsgate, and the IAC.
