Business software vendor’s RV roadtrip connects with Canadian SMBs

Business software vendor Sage North America is hoping a cross-country road trip with a recreational vehicle will help it connect more closely with its small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers.

The Sage Listens RV Relay crossed the United States this summer, with a giant RV emblazoned with the green Sage logo. And this fall the RV crossed the border, with a three-city tour that took it to Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.

Leading the expedition was Nancy Harris, senior vice-president and general manager of Sage 50 Accounting – Canadian edition, the software formerly known as Simply Accounting. The tour follows up on Sage’s sponsorship this summer of the Canada Games in Quebec. They’ve been meeting with local customers and partners, shopping local and from customers whenever possible, and spreading awareness of the Sage brand.

The RV’s Toronto stop included a visit with ITBusiness.ca, and we got a look inside the vehicle and an update on the tour from Harris.
