Insight Recognized as One of Montreal’s 2022 Top Employers

Insight Canada has prioritized putting people first and keeping the company’s purpose of building meaningful connections going strong through another year of social distancing

TEMPE, Ariz., February 15, 2022 — Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ: NSIT), an industry-recognized solutions integrator helping clients accelerate their digital journey, today announced its Canadian business has been named for a second year in a row to the 2022 Montréal’s Top Employers list, published annually by the Montreal Gazette and Mediacorp Canada Inc. as part of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.

The 17th annual Montréal’s Top Employers list recognizes the companies that offer exceptional places to work in Greater Montréal and lead their industries as employers of choice. To determine the winners, each submission is evaluated by rigorous criteria in eight areas: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation/time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

Insight Canada has grown its total full-time staff to 950 teammates nationwide. The team’s track record of innovation is differentiated by an ability to start anywhere on a client’s digital journey, helping them be ambitious about how they envision, develop, securely deploy and manage modern IT solutions and business transformation at scale. The Montréal team, including a technology distribution center and integration labs, works with clients and the community through volunteer efforts to make a positive impact through technology.

“We know that the future is digital and it is hybrid as organizations, including our own, work from anywhere,” said John Dathan, senior vice president and general manager of Insight Canada. “We’re helping our team and others continue to make this transition and to think boldly about delivering exciting new ways to do business. In doing so, we have prioritized our values of hunger, heart and harmony to ensure we preserve our culture of building meaningful connections, regardless of if we can engage in person or through digital solutions.”

Taking care of teammates and their wellbeing has been essential. The company has implemented a $1.2 million office redesign to ensure the most modern workplace possible, including open spaces and ample natural lighting. Over the past year, Insight Canada also implemented a telemedicine platform called Dialogue, giving convenient access to mental health support and healthcare. Insight Walks was initiated to encourage teammates to take breaks throughout the day and connect with each other, including managers having regular one-to-one walking sessions with their teams.

In 2021, Insight Canada held more than 100 teammate engagement initiatives and 48 internal diversity and inclusion events. Monthly virtual forums serve as morale boosters with business updates, celebrity speakers, and even an “Insight’s Got Talent” contest to motivate staff and build camaraderie. Daily wellness events include online fitness classes (yoga and full-body workouts), weekly virtual meditation sessions, and mental wellness and engagement initiatives focused on keeping teammates connected.

Through community outreach, the Montréal team supported more than 20 charities and schools in the past year. As Canadian students continued learning from home, a college reached out for assistance supporting their remote students. Insight helped devise a modernization strategy, arranged storage, servicing and device deployment for more than 800 devices to quickly meet the needs of students. Also, an ongoing partnership with the Summit School in Ville St. Laurent has supported campus IT improvements and provided laptops for faculty and students ages 4-21 who have different neurodevelopmental conditions and levels of functioning.

“It’s important that Insight feel like a second home to our teammates and a business that puts the personal touch on solving our clients’ toughest challenges. Keeping that sense of connection going strong is near and dear to our hearts,” said Dathan.
