James Roy

“We’re very excited to have James Roy on board”, says J. The broadcasting and production expertise which Mr. Roy brings, together with his love of storytelling will take our organization to a whole new level in exceeding client satisfaction, and in the ability to tell client stories in way that resonates with and impacts audiences.”

Roy brings over 35 years of experience in radio drama, live broadcasts, theatre, to his new role.  As an executive producer at CBC Radio from 1990 to 2005, he produced a number of acclaimed dramas and current-affairs-based series including: Metro Morning’s “The Diamond Lane”; Morningside’s Booster McCrane, PM; and the long-running series, Afghanada. Roy has been the recipient of a number of awards, including the prestigious Gabriel Award and two gold medals from the New York Radio Festival.  In addition, he oversaw CBC Radio One’s SiriusXM channel, while also leading the Radio Promotions Unit.

“This new role brings together so much of what I love”, says Roy.  “Stories are the currency of our human condition and storytelling has been the raw material of everything I’ve done in my life.  There is no better platform for delivering a company’s message or for getting engagement from individuals as customers or employees than storytelling. That’s also why I’m a strong believer in the power and potential of brand journalism and am looking forward to further developing an already strong team that can deliver content in an exceptional manner.”
