CyberTitan III National Finalists will hear remarks from Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan and cyber security industry experts this June 8-10

The CyberTitan III National Finals are this Monday, June 8 with the Awards Presentation on Wednesday, June 10. For the occasion, the Honourable Harjit Singh Sajjan, Minister of National Defence, kindly sent our participants a short video to congratulate and encourage them, which will be viewed at the award presentation. Furthermore, Stephen White, the RCMP Deputy Commissioner Specialized Policing Services, cybersecurity industry experts, and ICTC President and CEO Namir Anani will make remarks.

Minister Sajjan will touch upon the role of cybersecurity in keeping Canada safe, the work that bright women and men are doing at the Communications Security Establishment, and the importance of the critical life skills our youth will be acquired during this competition.

ICTC’s CyberTitan III National Final will take place entirely online in a three-day event (Monday, June 8 through Wednesday, June 10) due to COVID-19, instead of being hosted in Ottawa as a one-day in-person competition followed by Awards Gala.

The event is the culmination of six months of cybersecurity training and competitions between more than 200 high school cybersecurity teams from British Columbia to New Brunswick. ICTC’s CyberTitan program helps educate students in cybersecurity skills and inspires them to pursue a career in cybersecurity and STEM-related fields.

This year’s theme is “Hedgesight is 20/20.” Octopi Managed Services Inc. has created a simulation for the finals, based on real-world financial cybersecurity demands.

Please find attached a detailed CyberTitan III agenda, including a full list of speakers. The events over the three days will be live-streamed. To register for the live stream follow this link: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/cybertitan-iii-national-finals-tickets-107831657390
