Canadian Channel Chiefs Board of Directors appointed

Fourteen senior executives from across Canada’s tech community renewed their commitment to the development and professionalization of the Channel with their May 18 appointment to the Canadian Channel Chiefs Council (C4) Board of Directors for 2021-22.

“When we held our annual meeting last year, few would have predicted that today we would still be meeting virtually and holding events at a distance,” said C4 Chair Fawn Annan. “But together we have continued to chart a course for the organization that supports our membership and reaffirms our leadership role as the voice of the channel.”

“COVID-19 has tested our members and their resilience has been inspiring,” said C4 President Corinne Sharp.”Despite all the individual challenges, the board remains committed to strengthening our professional development offerings and raising the profile and recognition of the critical role Channel Chiefs play in value creation for tech companies.”

The Board of Directors represents all facets of the Channel from vendors and distributors to ISVs, MSPs, and a new generation of channel players that defies description by the traditional labels.

“As we come out of lockdown there is still uncertainty about what the next iteration of business will look like. Will there be a wholesale return to the office? Will vendors be hesitant to see sales reps in person? Will the conferences that have been crucial for networking and sparking fresh initiatives ever return? These are questions that will need to be answered,” said Annan. “And I’m proud our C4 webinars, workshops, events, and behind-the-scenes meetings with senior leaders, will continue to provide information and the opportunities for the free-flow of ideas that will allow our members to make informed decisions.”
