Video Rewind: LinkedIn hits the stock market this Thursday

Many professionals know LinkedIn as the social network for professionals, where you invest your time and hope for returns to come from your business network. Soon, it may also be known as a stock where you invest your money and hope for returns to fill your wallet.

LinkedIn has filed an initial public offering (IPO) to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange this Thursday, with the symbol LNKD. The maximum price of a share is to be $45, valuing the company at more than $4 billion. ITBusiness.ca had a chance to speak with Jonathan Lister, LinkedIn’s first country manager for Canada, shortly after he started his job. Here’s that video interview from September 2010.
