With the launch of Facebook Deals in Canada, many businesses may be soon considering whether they become involved with marketing efforts on Canada’s favourite social network.
Though many will see the free exposure to millions as a no-brainer, others may pause and wonder if the risk to user privacy is too much of a hurdle to jump. After all, Canada’s privacy commissioner is currently investigating the site for the second time, and there’s been user backlash in the media just recently over Facebook’s execution of placing advertisements featuring users in the news stream. So is it worth it to get on Facebook?
