Video Rewind: BlackBerry vs. Windows Mobile and Samsung Jack

BlackBerry phones today are competing against the likes of Apple’s iPhone and Google’s many Android devices, not to mention the Windows Phone 7 handsets that will soon be on the market.

Waterloo, Ont.-based manufacturer Research in Motion has been under pressure to stem loss of market share from all that competition. Especially since Apple has been inexorably increasing its business functionality and Microsoft’s operating system may also be appealing for corporate users. But while it might seem like RIM is in for a tough bout, it’s useful to look back on the not-so-distant past to judge who might win out in this round of smartphone wars.
