ADTRAN releases VoIP solution for SMBs
ADTRAN, Inc. announced a Voice Over IP (VoIP) solution for SMBs with the launch of NetVanta 7100, which provides voice, data and Internet communications through one device.

The NetVanta 7100 is a SIP-based PBX that also includes a 24-port Power over Ethernet switch, an IP Router, IPSec Virtual Private Network, stateful inspection firewall and Quality of Service to prioritize voice traffic. It includes a GUI that allows users to make changes and add new phones. A Web-based phone manager is also included that enables users to change phone configurations. ADTRAN’s optional n-Command network productivity software enables authorized partners to perform remote system backups and firmware updates for end users.

The NetVanta 7100 supports up to 50 users.

Animabilis releases Aurora Password Manager
Animabilis Software released Aurora Password Manager, a tool to protect user passwords.

Users of the application can create a file of their own where they maintain a series of hierarchically structured list of folders. Each password record that is added to one of these folders contains the following fields: subject, user name, password, URL, file path and comments. The user has the ability to create an unlimited number of extra fields to store data. There is also an option to set an expiration date for passwords.

Aurora Password Manager has a built-in password generator, which chooses arbitrary combinations of symbols and also generates passwords. Other features include 256-bit AES encryption, one multi-user database for all employees and a built-in toolbar for filling Web forms in IE.

The software is freeware and runs under Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003. The download is available from the company site.

Belltech releases Small Business Publisher 3.1
Belltech Systems LLC announced the release of Small Business Publisher 3.1, a designing and printing application catering towards business printing needs. The application helps users create professional quality printing such as flyers, letterheads, brochures, labels, newsletters, advertisements, envelopes, postcards and more.

The product also comes with design tools for creative design such as the ability to add colour blends, shadows, object rotation, transparency and texture.

To run the software users are required to have Windows 98/ME/2000/NT/XP/2003, at least 64MB of RAM and 30MB of hard drive space. A single user licence costs US$49.95 and includes user support and free upgrades. An evaluation copy can be downloaded on the Belltech site.
