The Startup Canadacross-country tour keeps rolling along, this weekhitting Windsor, Ont. Highlights of the two-day Windsorstop on May 22and 23 include a town hall today, followed by a show-and-tell event atthe Downtown Windsor Business Accelerator on Wednesday. Localentrepreneurs willshowcase their wares at that event, including Droid, a robot built bylocal high school students who won a regional tournament in the U.S.and then went to the world championships. See, it’s never too early tostart innovating. After Windsor, the Startup Canada tour continues itsOntario leg through York, Sudbury, Kingston and Ottawa.

Toronto startup Uniiverseis tapping into the ever expanding socialmedia landscape with anonline site for bartering, borrowing, learningand trading. Launched in February, the site is designed tocreate andnurture what its founders have dubbed “the sharing economy,” as AnnaStarasts writes in a blog posting today. She interviewed founders BenRaffi, Craig Follett and Adam Meghji about their venture, which hasalready scored $750,000 in seed funding, plus 2,000 users in Torontoand 8,000 worldwide.
