SAP customers seeking visual data, file management receive Canadian help at SuccessConnect

LAS VEGAS – Canada might not be lighting the show floor of enterprise software firm SAP SE’s SuccessConnect 2016 on fire, but customers looking to visualize their data or organize their documents on the platform at least will find themselves relying on developers from the Great White North.

Nakisa’s Jodi Marner helps SuccessFactors customers visualize their HR data.

Montreal-based Nakisa Inc. has been an SAP partner since 2007, complementing the latter company’s talent and succession planning software in a way that helps HR professionals more easily use SAP’s human capital management (HCM) platform, SuccessFactors, to plan organizational changes, Nakisa representative Jodi Marner tells ITBusiness.ca.

“The really great thing about our system is that with a couple of clicks you can get headcount, diversity, and inclusion metrics, or visualize information relating to your people, their talents, critical resources – it’s all right there in front of you,” she says. “You don’t have to go looking for it, there’s no exporting to Excel, and it’s very easy to use.”

An HR professional herself, Marner admits that earlier in her career she could be less than tech savvy, but even her past self wouldn’t have required training to take advantage of SuccessFactors after incorporating the features Nakisa offers, she says.

“It’s very intuitive, and I don’t need to have a complete reporting structure behind me to be able to pull out key numbers that the business needs to make decisions,” she says.

HR managers drowning in the unstructured content generated by SuccessFactors, meanwhile, can seek help from the experts at Waterloo, Ont.-based OpenText, which specializes in processing the raw data generated by the platform and intelligently organizing it in a way that HR professionals can easily understand.

OpenText’s Donna Andrews helps SuccessFactors users organize their data.

“We can help our customers extend their investments with SuccessFactors by ensuring that all of their HR content is intelligently controlled and managed,” OpenText senior program manager Donna Andrews says.

Customers who install the program can access their documents from within the SuccessFactors application. The crucial feature added by OpenText is the software’s ability to store all documents in a central location, in addition to providing management with compliance, retention, and record management support.

She notes that her organization supports both the on-premise and cloud-based versions of SuccessFactors.

Montreal-based Jonathan Berke’s employer, /N Spro, says his company is one of the more effective SuccessFactors partners in North America.

Finally, customers simply seeking to implement SuccessFactors can do worse than Montreal-based /N Spro Inc., which specializes in supporting the end-to-end installation and maintenance of SuccessFactors, in addition to providing valuable consulting support, HR solution architect Jonathan Berke tells ITBusiness.ca.

Like OpenText, /N Spro is also one of the few vendors that supports SuccessFactors both on-premise and in the cloud.

“We’re basically a premium partner, so customers who hire us are receiving a high level of expertise,” he says. “We handle a lot of complex customer environments in a variety of strategic industries.”
