Sage integrates with Vancouver’s Beanworks to help SMBs automate their accounting process

Accounting can be a headache regardless of your company’s size, but at least enterprises can invest in automation software – a boon Sage plans to share with Canadian small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) through its newest partnership.

The integrated accounting, payroll, and payment systems developer announced today that it will soon be collaborating with Vancouver-based accounting workflow automation and payments provider Beanworks to deliver a service that will help SMBs streamline their accounts payable processes, providing an immediate efficiency boost and saving money in the process.

“Beanworks’ capabilities to handle multiple legal entities simultaneously, as well as its robust workflow and extensive choices for payment options position the solution as a leading AP automation partner,” Sage said in a Nov. 16 statement.

Presently, only 40 million of the 500 billion-plus invoices entered into accounting workflows every year are converted into a digital format, according to Sage, with the remaining invoices mainly approved and settled manually in paper form.

The result: costly inefficiencies, errors, and delays that executives from both companies promised to help their customers trim.

Sage will release its Beanworks integration for its accounting and business management solutions, including Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 300, and Sage 500, sometime next year in both Canada and the U.S.
