Few other events create as much buzz on social media as the #RoyalBaby event has. This has to be one of the most talked about event and it shows no signs of stopping as yet. Whether it is Facebook, Twitter or Google Plus the Royal Baby is everywhere. So much so that Google + is sending a card signed by thousands of people on G+ to the Duke and Duchess congratulating them on this happy occasion.

This is the first time social media buzz has been factored into an event like this making the baby the first “digital native” royal family member. The official  Twitter account ClarenceHouse is busy tweeting all the news and updates about the baby, his parents and congratulatory messages from around the world.
Lets take a look at all this buzz:

Lo and behold, a prince is born:

But before that, @ClarenceHouse asked its Twitter followers to tell them if they were welcoming new babies in their family by using the hashtag #WelcometotheWorld. They hand picked a few tweets and posted them up on their storify account. With so much happening all over social media, Google Plus was not going to be left behind. They decided to create a card and send it to the Duke and the duchess – with messages from thousands of Google Plus users.
