Oracle and LinkedIn collaborate to keep up with changes in HR, recruiting

Oracle Corp. has announced a series of integrations between LinkedIn and its Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud system to help human resource teams improve candidate and employee experiences.

According to a recent press release, Oracle HCM Cloud, LinkedIn and Oracle’s Taleo Enterprise talent management software are all part of an integration to help address “the shifting demands of the talent economy.”

It states that “technology continues to transform the global talent marketplace with the rise of automation and the shrinking shelf life of skills,” and this new partnership will help HR professionals keep up with the changes and help attract, retain and engage talent.

“The rapidly changing global talent market is forcing organizations across industries to rethink how they attract, engage and retain employees,” Nagaraj Nadendla, group vice-president of product development at Oracle said in the release, “Navigating these changes is one of the biggest challenges organizations face today and requires HR teams to take a holistic view of the candidate and employee experience.”

To address this the two platforms are making it easier to take and exchange information between the HCM system and the business-oriented social media site for both existing employees and potential hires.

Oracle and LinkedIn announced five ‘integrations’

According to Nadendla, this new partnership allows Oracle to use “one of the world’s largest talent marketplaces” to improve its HCM and Taleo experience for companies using its platforms.

“The world of work is rapidly changing, and this is creating new opportunities and challenges for talent leaders,” said Scott Roberts, VP of business development at LinkedIn, “We are excited to be working with Oracle to create better solutions to make hiring and developing talent as seamless and effective as possible.”

This is not the first time the technology company and social media site have teamed up, last year the two announced a partnership that allowed users of Oracle’s Marketing Cloud to take data from the more than 400 million LinkedIn user profiles and pull it into existing marketing campaigns. The idea is to help reach and engage ideal buyers on the social site.
