Openera preps cloud service pitch to Banff Venture Forum

An Ottawa firm that specializes in making it easy to move files into the cloud is making a major move of its own to the Banff Venture Forum.

Openera announced Monday it was named as the first-place winner in the Road to Banff Venture Form Pitchoff that was held at the recent Canada 3.0 conference in Stratford, Ont. The company, which offers a single interface for distributing files to DropBox, Salesforce.com and other services, will join 100 other companies over two days to pitch their business ideas to venture capitalists.

Invest Ottawa’s Business Accelerator Services is already working with Openera, which describes its offering as cross cloud content management. Judges at Canada 3.0 credited Openera with a compelling service and a clearly defined value proposition, a viable business model leaders who demonstrate an ability to execute on their plans.

Openera recently announced mobile integration with BoxCloud, which means it will be offered in an environment with more than 30 other productivity applications.
