Webcast replay: Facebook’s new home on Android

Speculation about a Facebook phone has been almost as much a mainstay of Web content as new gadgets from Apple for the last couple of years. But now it appears the social networking site is about to unveil a Facebook branded smartphone that will be a modified Android operating system on HTC hardware.

Today at 1 PM ET Facebook will be livestreaming its event from Menlo Park, Calif. and we’ll be watching to see what’s most important about the announcement for you. Some leaked photos suggest the hardware will be made by HTC and the lock screen of the device will feature your Facebook profile photo and a stream of recent updates from your friends.
