JP delivers real-time backup and archiving solutions
JP Software announces the release of its revolutionary real-time backup and archiving solution. CascadePoint was created to provide a solution for individuals and organizations to backup and archive multiple versions of their desktop documents.

User tells CascadePoint what types of documents to protect and how many versions (up to 99) of each type of document to keep in the archive. CascadePoint watches user work and makes backup versions in the background each time user open or save a document. It supports local and network archives simultaneously.

Laptops continue to archive when away from their home networks and synchronize with the network archive when they return. Current versions of documents can be recovered.

CascadePoint is available immediately from JP Software and our resellers globally. It’s priced at US$34.95 per copy with discounts available for multi-copy purchases and site and enterprise licences.

LJZsoft launches XLReportGen 3.5.0
LJZsoft announces XLReportGen 3.5.0, a report generator that uses Microsoft Excel to output reports in Excel spreadsheet format.

To create a report, XLReportGen reads a report template file and an XRF file. The report template is a Microsoft Excel workbook that defines the layout and format of a report. The XRF file contains SQL statements and some information and its purpose is to tell XLReportGen how to get data from database and how to put data into a report.

XLReportGen creates a blank report using the report template file, executes SQL statements in the XRF file to extract data from database, and fills data into the report to generate the report in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet format.

The program supports all types of SQL, such as DML, DDL and DCL and can execute multiple SQL statements in one report building process. You can perform queries on databases, insert data into databases and create database objects like tables.

As for the layout and format of a report, you can take advantage of the formatting and presentation capabilities of Microsoft Excel, including cell formatting, formulas, filtering, sorting, drawing, pictures, charts, multiple sheets, page setup, headers and footers, preview and printing and many other options.

XLReportGen works with Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, MySQL, Microsoft Access and dBase. The program supports Windows mode and command line mode.

Sample reports generated by XLReportGen can be viewed or downloaded from the link below: http://www.ljzsoft.com/samples.htm

XLReportGen 3.5.0 runs under Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and later. The product starts at US$99.95 for Standard Edition. Registered users are entitled to free technical support by email. Additional information on the product as well as its free 30-day evaluation copy is available from www.ljzsoft.com.
