“I want to thank everyone in our team for their exemplary work, creativity, and commitment,” said ITBusiness.ca senior editor, Joaquim P. Menezes. “This award attests to the great job they do, every single day, providing the finest editorial content to meet the needs of Canadian information workers, line of business professionals, and small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs).”

From IT World Canada, the work of editors Dave Webb and Greg Meckbach, as well as their staff, including Howard Solomon, Kathleen Lau, Rafael Ruffolo and Jennifer Kavur was also recognized as being the best in the industry.

“For anyone who reads our sites regularly, these awards should come as no surprise,” said Shane Schick editor-in-chief at IT World Canada. “Whether it’s Greg and Howard’s tireless efforts in covering the Nortel story, ITBusiness.ca’s ownership of the story about a cell phone ban for car drivers or even last week’s collective efforts around the coverage of Windows 7, we have a high-performance team here.”

Masthead’s awards recognize original editorial content published online. Over 250 entries were received to compete for the awards.
