The included iGo Wall Power 6000 Series provides up to five hours of additional power for the portable computer user. SMB-focused virus control

McAfee has created distinct offerings for the SMB market. For those without a dedicated IT staff who want their security managed by a single provider, McAfee provides McAfee Managed VirusScan. Also for SMBs with limited IT resources are two SMB Edition Suites that use McAfee’s VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i, integrating anti-virus technology with elements of intrusion prevention and firewall technology into single system security for PCs and servers. Both suites are managed by McAfee ProtectionPilot and defend against malware, buffer overflow exploits and blended attacks. As an add-on module for the cost of support only, SMB customers can have an added layer of protection against potentially unwanted programs (PUPS), such as adware, spyware, dialers, keyloggers, cookies and remote-control programs with McAfee Anti-Spyware Enterprise.

Identify yourself

Spam Sleuth Lite, a free edition of Blue Squirrel Inc.‘s software, stops annoying unsolicited spam messages from reaching e-mail inboxes. It uses Turing technology, which sends a challenge e-mail back to sender to check whether the sender is human or a mindless machine. Once verified, messages are passed through to the inbox.
