Hands on with Toshiba Excite X10 tablet

There was no shortage of tablets debuted at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and this year’s CES is proving no different.

Described by Toshiba as the thinnest tablet in the market the Excite X10 has a 10-inch screen with a 1280×800 resolution display, dual-core 1.2GHz OMAP 4430 CPU, 1GB RAM, micro HDMI, microSD and micro USB connectivity and front-and-rear cameras. Battery life is expected to last for up to 8 hours of watching video.

The design and styling of the Toshiba Excite X10 is a departure from Toshiba’s chunkier and heavier Thrive tablet. The Toshiba Excite X10 will come to market in Q1 2012 and will be able to run the latest Google Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ operating system once available.
