Ferrari F1 team races with AMD Fusion tech

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Inc., recently released the A-series of the company’s APUs (accelerated processing unit), processors.

The A-series is aimed at the market of rival Intel’s Core i3 to Core i7 market.

However, the technology is also being employed by Ferrari’s F1 team to helps its engineers, technicians and race car drivers improve the performance of the company’s cars.

In this video, Dario Costello, Ferrari’s CIO and Tony Fernandez-Stoll, vice-president of marketing for the Americas at AMD, explain how Fusion technology is being used by the race team.
