Consilient launches free push e-mail application for five mobile accounts

Consilient pushes e-mail to mobile phones using single application
Consilient announced a free version of their mobile e-mail application, Consilient Push at www.consilient.com. The service features multi-account access, giving users a single application for retrieving up to five different mail accounts on mobile phones. The Push service also includes photo attaching and saving with colour-coding for identification of multiple accounts.

The Push application runs on any GPRS network and delivers push e-mail in real-time. The application supports some CDMA networks including Sprint, Verizon and Dobson in the U.S. and Aliant and Telus in Canada.

Consilient Push delivers mobile e-mail for consumer accounts including Hotmail, Yahoo!, Gmail and AOL e-mail. The application also supports any POP3 or IMAP4 account. Users can download the application on their current mobile phones and seamlessly alternate between personal and corporate e-mail.

Consilient Push Features:

A Premium version of Consilient Push is available for US$5/month with enhanced features. The Premium version has an upgrade path to a full multi media suite of content sharing and mobile social networking.

Intel Centrino Pro provides wireless management and security capabilities

Intel Corp. announced it will extend its innovative features designed for desktop business PCs called Intel vPro processor technology into its forthcoming laptop offering.

With Intel Centrino Pro processor technology, IT managers will be able to manage and protect their notebooks over Wi-Fi. Intel Centrino Pro processor technology will be available in the second quarter this year.

A wireless component, Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N will give users farther away from their access points with support for the draft 802.11n specification. Another feature is the support for Microsoft Windows Vista’s graphic interface Aero. In addition, the optional Intel Turbo Memory means users can experience faster performance when loading frequently-used applications.

Digi introduces Digi Connect ME JumpStart Kit for Microsoft .NET Micro Framwork
Digi International introduced the Digi Connect ME JumpStart Kit for Microsoft .NET Micro Framework. Digi JumpStart Kits are a breed of development kits that develops network-connected devices. Digi will feature this kit and other JumpStart  Kits at Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley 2007, booth 2202.

The Digi Connect ME JumpStart Kit for Microsoft .NET Micro Framework includes the Digi Connect ME embedded module, a development/carrier board, and samples and documentation for rapid evaluation and development. A free 180-day evaluation of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 is also available for download.

ZyXEL provides appliance to store two terabytes of data

ZyXEL Communications announced the addition to their Network Attached Storage product line, the NSA-2400. The appliance is a four bay, SATA-based backup solution that enables information sharing, data backup and data protection.

The NSA-2400 is bundled with a complete client and server backup solution from Genie-Soft. The bundled software and hardware installation makes the NSA-2400 a snap to install. 

The appliance has a storage capacity of two terabytes of data and four-tier data protection which includes backup software, RAID (0, 1, 5 and JBOD) support, snapshot and external backup.
