Cisco delivers IP telephony solution
Cisco announced that it will provide a dual-mode IP telephony solution that utilizes the N902iL FOMA/wireless LAN dual-mode mobile phone from NTT DoCoMo, coupled with Cisco Unified CallManager and the Cisco Unified Wireless Network.
By offering seamless connectivity between NTT DoCoMo’s FOMA3G network and a Cisco Unified Wireless Network deployed in a business environment, this solution provides business users a single-number access, a single office voice mailbox, mobile voice access and other mobile application capabilities.
When connected to the Cisco Unified Wireless Network in the office environment, employees will be able to place, receive, hold and forward calls just as they would from a desktop IP phone. Additionally, employees will be able to access office voice mail and interact with other office IP telephony features from their mobile phones. The mobile handset and Cisco Unified Wireless Network both support 54 Mbps Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11g along with IEEE 802. Outside the office, the N902iL will operate on the NTT DoCoMo FOMA network and will receive incoming office calls using Cisco’s mobile solutions for unified communications.
Tadiran Telecom announces Composit Contact Centre 4.3
Tadiran Telecom announced the availability of Composit Contact Centre 4.3, a version of the company’s real-time, IP multimedia customer interaction management solution. This version of Composit also supports 250 simultaneous agents.
Key features and capabilities in Composit Contact Centre 4.3 include:
- Agent proxy – allows customers to hang up after leaving a data item such as a voice message or customer ID.
- Agent reRoute – allows a returning customer the option to hold for the previous agent.
- Call logger integration – allows businesses to integrate to third-party call logging systems.
- Redundancy, resiliency and scalability – The Composit 4.3 distributed architecture (agents and IVR) provides redundancy and resiliency characteristics. The system also scales to support 250 simultaneous agents, and 9,000 call completions per hour.
The Composit Contact Centre is a comprehensive suite of real-time, IP multimedia customer interaction management solutions. Composit’s system combines IVR, Dialer, CTI, queue management, Intelligent Interaction Routing and multimedia management – all on a single, unified platform. Composit’s open architecture, built around industry standards, enables businesses to access legacy applications, CRMs applications, third-party reporting tools and databases, such as SQL, ODBC and IBM’s AS/400 servers using DB/2 databases. Composit can also integrate to other systems in the enterprise (including Web services).

Fevosoft launches Beyond Sync 1.3.2
Fevosoft has announced the availability of Beyond Sync 1.3.2., a data synchronization and backup tool for Windows OS. Priced at US$34.95, the program will help users synchronize data between two directories, or back up files to any secure location, in a hard disk drive, network folder, external disks, laptop, etc.
Some other features in Beyond Sync include command line support and schedule support that enables users to have synchronization tasks executed automatically at specified time intervals, provided that this action has been specified in the scheduler.
