O&K Software introduces update to its print management solution
O&K Software announced the release of O&K Print Watch 4.00, which combines the features of a network print spooler and a print job register, allowing users to control print jobs, paper usage and collect statistics from print servers. The statistics collection in particular is helpful in creating a company-wide chargeback plan that ensures that all users pay their fair share of the printing budget.

Unlike the standard print manager in Windows, O&K Print Watch counts the number of printed pages and offers a mechanism to set limits on printer usage. O&K Print Watch creates an array of reports, which are available for viewing, including via a Web browser. These features give users full control over any printer in a home or corporate network.

Version 4.00 features an improved mechanism that enables users to set limits on printer usage and an ability to view printed jobs as images. Users can also organize users into groups and set up printing rules for each group individually.

With this release users can also specify a printing budget by setting limits on the number of pages that can be printed or the total cost of a printed document.

O&K Print Watch 4.00 runs on Windows NT4/2000/XP/Server 2003.

Channel Intelligence introduces category management solution
Channel Intelligence (CI) announced the introduction of a categorization solution that provides online retailers with organization of products across online marketing channels. CI has integrated its unification technology with categorization technology.

The automated process uses both unification technology and proprietary data scripts to move products received from data feeds across all of CI’s product lines into a Universal Type-based Category (UTC). A UTC is a single definitive location of each and every item. Each UTC is then linked to the category taxonomy of each comparison shopping engine and online marketplace, which eliminates the issue of disparate product organization that has traditionally plagued online advertising of products.
