Brother Canada targets SMB market with newest scanners

The Canadian arm of Nagoya, Japan-based electronics firm Brother Industries, Ltd. aims to support small- and medium-sized businesses with its two latest scanners, the ADS-2400N and ADS-3600W, the company announced recently.

The former is already available on the company’s official Canadian website for $549.99, while the latter is expected to be released in April.

In a statement, Brother Canada representatives emphasized the new scanners’ blend of fortitude and value, with both machines optimized to accommodate a higher volume of scanning assignments compared to similar devices aimed at consumers.

The ADS-2400N (below) includes an automatic document feeder with a 50-sheet capacity, and is capable of both scanning up to 30 pages per minute, and of scanning each side of a single page in one pass.

Not only will the ADS-3600W (below) include double-sided scanning and “high-capacity automatic document feeders,” according to a Feb. 22 release, it will also incorporate an NFC card reader; a 3.7-inch touchscreen; and mobile device and wireless connectivity; and can produce colour scans of up to 50 pages per minute.

Both scanners will also come bundled with ABBYY FineReader and PDF Transformer+, software designed to convert document scans into editable text.
